School and work at their best for high schools
Eighty speakers representing their chosen careers will speak to Northshore high school students on Friday, May 16th, at the Career Fair hosted by Bothell High School. The entire student body of Bothell High School, plus 200 students each from Inglemoor and Woodinville High Schools and approximately 30 students from the Secondary Alternative School, will be in attendance.
For this district-sponsored event, Gaye Marklund, the Bothell High School Career Counselor, has assembled the speakers and organized the day with assistance from her counterparts, Pam Metcalfe at Inglemoor High School and Marguerite Hansen at Woodinville High School.
Among the career areas to be represented are: sign language interpreter, small business owner, radio/television announcer, firefighter, fashion designer, forensic scientist, and a media producer. The career professionals are all volunteers and have agreed to take time from their work to share their time and expertise with the students of Northshore.
