Community Citizen Frank Baker of the Sammamish Valley Grange presented the Grange's Woodinville Citizen's Award to Don Julien at the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce's May 13 luncheon. Julien has been the managing librarian at the Woodinville Library since its opening in 1993.
Julien serves as vice-president of the Woodinville Farmers' Market and is a co-founder and president of the Greater Woodinville Community Roundtable. This year, he has also become involved in the Cascades Valley Heritage Corridor Advisory Group and is acting chair of the group. Past president of the Seattle Rose Society, Julien also acts as a Northshore area contact for questions about rose culture, edits a monthly newsletter for the Rose Society and delivers talks at local nurseries. He lives in Maltby with his wife, Beverly.
In other business at the luncheon, new Chamber of Commerce members were welcomed: Granite Management Group, PostNet, Royal Florist, Bigfoot Bagels, Check Ride, Jungyae Moosul Academy of Woodinville, and Protogon.
