Four-car chain reaction accident near Gold Creek
A chain-reaction accident on 140th Place NE left one motorist injured and four vehicles damaged on May 19. A 47-year-old Woodinville woman was transported to Evergreen Hospital with muscle strain when her 1983 Volvo station wagon was hit by a 1985 Dodge Aspen.
The accident occurred around 2:55 p.m. when a vehicle was attempting a left turn into Gold Creek Athletic Club. With traffic backed up, a 1989 Ford F-250 pickup, driven by a 32-year-old Everett man, failed to stop and then rear-ended the Dodge, pushing the Dodge into a 1979 Chevy pickup. The Dodge veered across the center line into southbound traffic and struck the Volvo.
Police and fire crews responded. The Everett man was cited for following too closely.
