Woodinville BPW awards two scholarships

BPW scholarships Two scholarships were awarded at the regular dinner meeting of the Woodinville Business and Professional Women (BPW) on May 12. The annual scholarships are awarded to women 30 years of age or older who are enrolled in a career advancement program.
   Marsha Godbey, 43, was named the recipient of the Serena Willer's Emerging Women's Scholarship ($500). Marsha is working towards her medical assistant associate of applied science degree at North Seattle CC.
   Shery Stewart, 61, was awarded the first Joyce R. Kelly Enrichment Scholarship ($500). This scholarship was recently named in honor of a member who organized the first meeting of this local in 1987 and has been very instrumental in supporting the scholarship program throughout the years. Shery Stewart is studying to be a personal financial analyst with Primerica Financial Services and attends Slater Insurance School.
   BPW meetings are held on the second Monday of the month from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wyndham Gardens Hotel. Make reservations for the next meeting by calling 343-2890 before June 4th.
