After beating the Sea-King fastpitch champion Bothell Cougars 2-0 the week before, the new Wes-Sea-King champions from Inglemoor ended their season in the consolation semifinals at the state AAA championships in Yakima. After a grueling round of five tournament games in 26 hours, they lost to Mountain View, 5-4.
Meanwhile, at the state AAA track finals in Tacoma, the Woodinville High boys' track team placed 7th in team scores, with Inglemoor High placing 8th. Woodinville's Shawn Murphy is the state champion in the 800. His teammate and good friend, Brandon Roche, placed third in the 800, and the Falcon 1600 relay team placed third. Jake Soder of Bothell High placed 8th in discus and Rayn Bottjer of Inglemoor placed 4th in the javelin.
Kingco conference baseball all-opponent first team players from Woodinville High were announced. They were Brian Kertson, Marcus Tuiasosopo, Ben Potter, and Justin Crivello. Inglemoor High has Tyson Thompson on the first team. Alan Minahan, Justin Stolmeier, Ryan Brown, and Jeremy Beach were named to the second team.
