   Washington Cathedral will host its annual 4th of July picnic beginning at 6 p.m. July 4 at their church campus, 12300 Wdvl.-Duvall Rd. Featured will be a down-home barbecue, children's carnival, steel band concert, and a good view of the Woodinville fireworks display. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 3-8. Children 2 and under are free. Call 861-3824.

   Wooden Cross Lutheran Church, 1948th Ave. NE and Woodinville-Duvall Rd., will begin their sumer schedule July 6. Communion services will be Thursdays 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m. (nursery on Sundays only). For information, call 788-3626.

   Family Development Program, Multi-Service Centers will be the subject for the monthly meeting of the Eastside Interfaith Social Concerns Council to be held July 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The location will be the First Presbyterian Church, 1717 Bellevue Way NE in Bellevue. Call 747-5924.

   Rev. Heber Van Gilder, former pastor of the Bible Baptist Church of Woodinville, will preach July 6 at the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services at the Calvary Baptist Church in Everett, 3332 Colby Ave. Call 259-1277.

   Rev. Mary Scifres, pastor of Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Woodinville, is transferring to Fircrest UMC in Tacoma. The new pastor at Bear Creek is Rev. Roger W. Barr, who will arrive after July 1 from Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim.
   The Christian Singles' Group at Bear Creek United Methodist Church meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:30 p.m. for fellowship, study, and other activities. Open to all singles. Call 788-2953.

   Dr. Thor Stebeck of Mill Creek will join the staff of thirteen pastors at the Cedar Park Church in Bothell as the minister of pastoral care.

   Bible Study Outreach is a non-denominational Bible study group that meets at the Woodinville Community United Methodist Church every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Call 483-5252 for information.
