Fourth graders from Bear Creek Elementary worked hard to send their tissue paper balloons "up, up, and away."
by Tara McLauchlan, age 10
Mr. Ross' fourth grade class from Bear Creek Elementary had a fly day at the sail plane and polo field in Redmond. The class launched tissue paper hot air balloons. The colors ranged from greens to blues, yellows to reds, and checkerboard to stripes. Crab cookers were used to heat the balloons so they would fly over the big hills into the city. Unfortunately, none of the balloons made the goal. They went up a couple hundred feet, but then landed in the next field.
