Preps to be proud of

   Marci Martin of Bothell was a winner of the A.G. "Tony" Marino Scholarship for the 1997-98 academic year.

   These students from Chrysalis School have been chosen to receive the Washington Scholars Award: Alli Dunn, Cheryl Jenkins, and Alison Smith.

   Gena Piscapo of Bothell placed second in the free-style event at a regional meet in Portland for junior Olympic artistic roller skaters. Other Everett Expressions skaters who participated at the California Senior Meet were: Stacy Buhr and Jori McGuire, Snohomish; and Diane Saarinen, Bothell.

   Brian Ravenel, a home school student from Woodinville, was selected as one of 38 national winners in Delta's Pupil's Choice Essay Competition. His parents, Connie and Joe Ravenel, were also honored as sponsoring educators.

   Ashutosh Somani, a 1997 graduate of Inglemoor High, is one of 22 Washington State Employees Credit Union scholarship recipients. Somani will attend MIT in the fall.
