Audubon Society holds annual garden tours

The Eastlake Washington Audubon Society will hold its second annual ELWAS Garden Tour titled "Birds, Bees, Butterflies and Bats" at two Woodinville locations. At 14725 Bear Creek Lane, Jeanne Milanovich will show the variety of wildlife that visits her 1.5 acre garden bordering Cottage Lake Creek. Sockeye and Chinook salmon, bats, muskrats fox and deer visit the garden each year. At 7232 Marwood Place, witness the backyard of Jim and Jan Rettig, with towering conifers, Vine and Bigleaf Maple and Red Alders. The unofficial wildlife sanctuary has attracted 46 species of birds since 1989.


  
   Tours will be held July 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10, with proceeds going to the ELWAS Sanctuary Fund as well as Audubon Adventures classes. Call (425) 451-3717 for more information.
