Yard sale donations to benefit cancer victim
The family of a 54-year-old Woodinville woman recovering from an inoperable brain tumor needs donations for a yard sale to help pay for her continuing medical expenses. Linda Evans, a grandmother of three, is undergoing once-a-month alternative medical treatment at a Houston, Texas clinic which costs $8,000-$9,000 a trip. The treatment is not covered by the family's medical insurance because the company considers it to be experimental.
Linda's bouts with cancer since 1990 have drained the family's financial reserves. An auction in April benefiting her fight raised over $17,000. But the family again needs the public's help. Contact Al Evans at 788-2309, Darrin Evans at 861-1976 or Meredith Reno at 788-1483 with donatable items. The family will arrange for pick-up or drop-off of items.
All proceeds will pay for Linda's treatment. The yard sale is tentatively scheduled for August 2 at a location to be determined.
