Cool, quick and refreshing beverages

  Berry Tea Sparkler
  
   3 c. brewed tea
   1 (12 oz.) can frozen cranberry/raspberry/strawberry juice concentrate, thawed
   1/2 c. lemon juice
   1/3 c. sugar
   1 (25 oz.) bottle sparkling mineral water
   Chilled Ice
  
   In a large pitcher, combine tea, juice concentrate, lemon juice and sugar; stir until sugar dissolves. Chill. Just before serving, add sparkling water. Serve over ice. Garnish as desired.
  
   Fantasia Fruit Punch
  
   1/2 c. lemon flavored ice tea mix with sweetener
   1 qt. water
   1 can (6 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate
   1 can (6 oz.) frozen pineapple juice concentrate
   5 c. sliced fresh fruit
   1 bottle (28 oz.) club soda, chilled
  
   In punch bowl, combine natural lemon flavored iced tea mix, water, concentrates and fruit. Just before serving, add club soda. Serve with ice.
  
   Orange Lemonade
  
   1 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice (4 to 5 lemons)
   1 c. freshly squeezed orange juice (3 to 4 oranges)
   12 packets Equal or 3 1/2 tsp. Equal Measure
   3 c. water
   Ice cubes
   Lemon slices (optional)
   Mint sprigs (optional)
  
   In a large pitcher combine juices and Equal; stir to dissolve. Stir in water. Cover and chill. Serve over ice. Garnish each serving with lemon slice and mint sprig, if desired.
  
   Sparkling Sangria
  
   1/2 c. Mandarin Orange Flavored tea mix with sweetener
   1 c. white grape juice
   1 bottle (33.8 oz.) seltzer
   1 apple, cored and chopped
   1 lemon, cut lengthwise in half, then sliced
   1 lime, sliced, then each slice cut into quarters
  
   In a large pitcher, blend mandarin orange ice tea mix and grape juice. Stir in fruit, then seltzer. Serve over ice.
  
   Brewing Instructions for the Perfect Glass
   of iced tea

  
   1. Place 4 to 6 tea bags in a glass quart jar or pitcher (4 for mild flavor or 6 for full flavor). Bring fresh cold water to a full rolling boil then pour 4 cups over tea bags.
   2. Brew 3 to 5 minutes or to desired strength.
   3. Remove tea bags. Pour into ice-filled glasses.
  
   Concentrate Method for Iced Tea
  
   1. Place 4 to 5 tea bags in a glass quart jar or pitcher (4 for mild flavor or 5 for full flavor). Bring fresh cold water to a full rolling boil then pour 2 cups over tea bags.
   2. Brew 3 to 5 minutes or to desired strength.
   3. Remove tea bags and add 2 cups cold water. Pour into ice-filled glasses.
  
   Sun Tea Method for Iced Tea
  
   1. Place 9 regular tea bags in gallon jar then fill with cold water.
   2. Cap loosely and place in hot sunshine, away from combustible material, for 3 to 4 hours.
   3. Remove tea bags. Add recipe ingredients, such as sweetener or lemon, if desired. Pour into ice filled glasses.
   4. Refrigerate within 5 hours of brewing start.
  
   Stegosaurus Milkshakes
  
   1 can (16 oz.) peaches in their own juice, drained
   2 c. skim milk
   1 c. low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
   1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
   Mint sprigs
  
   Process peaches and milk in food processor or blender until smooth. Add frozen yogurt and nutmeg and process until smooth. Serve milk shakes in glasses; garnish with mint sprigs.
  
   Frozen Watermelon Daiquiri
  
   4 c. peeled, seeded and diced watermelon
   1 large egg white
   6 Tbsp. sugar
   3/4 c. apple juice
   3 Tbsp. lime juice
   Thin watermelon triangles or lime slices (optional)
  
   Set watermelon pieces slightly apart in a single layer in a 10-by15-inch pan. Cover and freeze solid, at least 2 hours or overnight.
   To frost (4) 10 oz. glasses, whisk egg white in a small bowl until slightly frothy. Dip rims in egg white, then in sugar. Chill at least 5 minutes.
  
   In a blender, combine half the frozen watermelon pieces with apple juice, lime juice and 1/3 c. sugar. Whirl until watermelon is reduced in volume; add remaining watermelon and whirl until mixture is a thick slush. Pour or spoon into prepared glasses, garnishing each with a watermelon triangle or lime slice. Serve with straws.
  
   Summer Cooler
  
   4 c. sugar
   6 c. water
   1 qt. pineapple juice
   Juice of 5 oranges
   Juice of 2 lemons
   5 bananas, mashed
   4 qt. 7-Up
  
   Combine sugar and water. Heat to boiling until sugar dissolves.
   In a large container, combine sugar and water with remaining ingredients, except 7-Up and freeze. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. Fill glasses 2/3 full with mixture, add 7-Up to fill glass. Serve with straw and a spoon.
  
   Orange Julius
  
   1 3 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
   1/2 c. milk
   1/2 c. water
   2 Tbsp. sugar
   1/2 tsp. vanilla
   5 to 6 ice cubes
  
   Combine all ingredients in blender; process 30 seconds.
