Search for city manager continues
by Andrew Walgamott
Resumes for a new Woodinville city manager are pouring into the offices of the Phillip K. Kushlan Company of Bellevue. Last week, Phil Kushlan estimated he had received 30 resumes for the position after advertising in professional publications, International City and County Management Association and Jobs Available. He expects to ultimately receive 90-110 resumes before the closing date of July 25.
The review of the resumes will be considered on the basis of characteristics suggested by the City Council, staff and community leaders. Fifteen to 20 names will then be recommended to the council. The list will be further whittled after telephone interviews. Kushlan said he hoped to have a candidate for the position October 15.
The Phillip K. Kushlan Company was chosen by the City Council to search and interview city manager candidates after former city manager Joe Meneghini submitted his resignation last April.
