Children Helping Children
NW News Staff
The fourteenth annual Children Helping Children clothing drive sponsored by Children's World Learning Centers, KING 5 Television and Northwest Parent Publishing, kicks off Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 31. The drive seeks donations of children's clothing for distribution to clothing banks throughout the Puget Sound region.
Last year, residents of Woodinville helped collect more than 21,000 items of clean and wearable clothing. This year, organizers hope to exceed that total. Families are encouraged to participate in the event by cleaning out closest and donating unwanted items to any one of the 21 Children's World Learning Centers as well as the KING 5 Television offices. Collection barrels will be located inside each location's entrance. Clothing donations will be collected regularly by volunteers and distributed at no charge to those in need.
