   Northshore Youth Soccer
   Spectre 84-1, the U-14 girls soccer team from Northshore Youth Soccer Assoc., finished first after the round robin play by defeating Columbia Magic from Vancouver at the Greater Northwest Invitational soccer tournament last week in Redmond. The Bothell/Woodinville team, led by Karin Sorensen, beat Vancouver in the semi-finals 2-0. Spectre lost in the finals to Federal Way 3-1.
  
   Woodinville Boats Place in Whidbey Race
  
   The Whidbey Island Race Week Finals included two boats from Woodinville and one from Snohomish who placed in their categories. Woodinville's Hanoman placed 4th in class B competition and Sun Dog placed 12th in class J. Snohomish's boat, Juan Ed, came in 15th in class J.
  
   The Whidbey Island Race Week is held every July on Whidbey and included six races over five days. There were 147 entrants this year.
  
   Women's Triathlon Series at Seward Park
  
   Seattle's Seward Park is this year's site for the eighth annual Danskin Women's Triathlon Series on August 17th. This race is the only women's triathlon in the country. It is open to all ages, pro and amateurs, and benefits the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The race consists of .75k swim, 20k bike and 5k run.
  
   Participants can register up until the day before the race at the RACE EXPO at Factoria Square Mall. Early registration is $30.00 and $35.00 at RACE EXPO. More information and application is

   Eastside Elite Fastpitch
  
   Eastside Elite U-14 Girls Fastpitch Softball team finished seventh in the ASA District 15 Regional Tournament last week in Vancouver, WA. The Elite, (51-13) will now compete at the Western Zone Championship at Delta Park in Portland, Oregon on Aug.7th-10th. There they will compete with teams from the entire western United States.
