The Humane Society needs change

  NW News Staff
The Humane Society for Seattle/King County has launched a month-long coin drive to raise funds for shelter operations and outreach programs. The Humane Society's goal is to raise 100,000 pennies by Sept. 18, the date on which the the Humane Society was founded in Seattle 100 years ago.
Anyone with spare change accumulating in their sock drawers can donate their coins through the Coinstar machines in all local QFC and Stock Market Food stores. Enter The Humane Society's C.O.I.N. #, 0080, and the machine counts your coins before providing you with a tax receipt for your donation.
