Puget Sound Farm Trust workshop

   The Puget Sound Farm Trust is sponsoring a day-long hands-on sustainable site design workshop Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Farm Trust's property (The Root Connection Farm), 13631 Woodinville-Redmond Road. The instructor will be Michael Lockman, a permaculture designer and teacher.Workshop participants will help create a design for Puget Sound Farm Trust's Urban fringe Farm Project. In the process they will learn the permaculture design process and get hands-on experience developing a sustainable land-use plan for a 12-acre working farm and future research and training site. Topics include site assessment; observation skills; client interview; wild design; simple mapping and surveying skills; and more.
