Kiest announces campaign

   Alan Kiest, an eight-year veteran of the Lake Forest Park Council, has announced his candidacy for re-election to Council Position 1. He ran unopposed four years ago.
  
   For six years Kiest has chaired the council's finance committee, and serves on the city technology committee. He is one of six representatives from suburban cities on the Metropolitan King County Council Regional Policy Committee, and he represents the city on the King County Human Services Roundtable.
  
   Kiest is an 18 year resident of Lake Forest Park. His wife, Heather, is a public middle school teacher. His daughter, Jennifer, graduated in 1996 from Shorecrest High School and now attends Wellesley College. Their children, Anna and Bobby, attend Brookside Elementry School.
