Fair, fun run in Monroe

  NW News Staff
Still Running After All These Years" is the theme of the 1997 Monroe "Fair Days" Fun Run Aug. 23rd. The race starts and finishes at the Valley Rally Fitness Club and 300+ runners are expected to participate in the event.

You don't have to be a runner to take part in this race. Many people walk the 2 mile or 10 Kilometer (6.2 mile) course. Parents push strollers while chatting with friends.

As a special feature of the 20th anniversary of the fun run, guest invitations have been sent out to 25 of the best and legendary runners around the Pacific Northwest. They will be introduced before the start of the race and given a colored wristband so they can be identified on the course.
