Symphony presents grand finale to festival

  NW News Staff

Chateau Ste. Michelle's Summer Festival On The Green concert series will finish the 1997 season with a rare outdoor performance by the Seattle Symphony Sept. 13. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will be conducted by music director, Gerard Schwarz.

The symphony's performance will highlight the works of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and will feature 20-year old solo violinist Tricia Park. Families find concerts featuring Tchaikovsky especially rewarding, as his music is well-known to both children and adults. Chateau Ste. Michelle's outdoor amphitheater provides a unique venue for the symphony and an opportunity for concert-goers to enjoy classical music under the stars.

Tickets to the Seattle Symphony concert are available through Ticketmaster by calling 206-628-0888 or at any Ticketmaster outlet. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. General admission is $32 and reserved seating is $52.50.

Chateau Ste. Michelle is located at 14111 145th Street N.E. in Woodinville. For additional information or directions, call the winery at 206-488-3300.
