Kristin Louise Hatala and Brian Scott Bartels were married July 12 at an evening service at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pomeroy, WA. A reception dinner at the Eagle's Club for 200 guests followed the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore a floor length gown of raw silk with a cathedral train. Small silk leaves highlighted with seed pearls edged the princess style neckline and the tips of the log sleeves. Her fingertip veil was held in place by the same Dior bow of peau de soie trimmed with pearls and Alencon lace that her mother had worn on her wedding day. Kristin carried a cascade of daisies and wheat, accented with salmon-colored tea roses. The bridesmaids wore navy, and carried baskets of daisies, wheat and tea roses.
The bride, the daughter of Richard and Louise Hatala of Woodinville, graduated from Woodinville High School in 1988 and attended WSU. She is the assistant box office manager at the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, CA.
The groom graduated from Pomeroy High in 1987 and received his bachelor's degree from WSU in 1992. He earned his graduate degree in 1994, also from WSU. He is director of ticket operations in the athletic department of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.
The couple traveled to Lake Tahoe for their honeymoon. They will reside in Atascadero, CA.
