IRS offers free training

   Individuals who enjoy helping others and have computer skills, or are interested in helping prepare income tax returns for free, have an opportunity to receive training in addition to providing a community service.
   IRS offers free training in electronic filing and basic tax law to people who volunteer for the Tax-Aide program. During the filing season, Tax-Aide volunteers help people prepare tax returns and file many of the returns electronically.
   Individuals or organizations, such as local civic or fraternal organizations, educational institutions, churches, or social groups, who are interested in participating should contact the Taxpayer Education Office at (206) 220-5803 or write IRS, Taxpayer Education, 915 2nd Ave., M/S W180, Seattle, WA 98174.
