The Northshore YMCA has announced its fall classes.

A pre/post natal exercise class is designed for both pregnant women and those who have already delivered. Non-members will need to purchase a program aerobics card just for fitness classes. Non-YMCA members may purchase a punch card for all land and water fitness classes held at the Y. A program membership fee of $20 a year allows non-members to buy a $48 punch card good for 12 classes with a 3-month expiration date.
Rhythmic gymnastics is an 8 week session that continues. Classes are held Tuesdays from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.
Ballroom dancing offers beginning and advanced classes teaching two-step, waltz, cha-cha, country and swing. Classes are co-ed, and no partner is necessary. Sessions run every 8 weeks on Monday evenings.
Swimming lesson registration for facility members begins Oct. 4 and program member registration begins on Oct. 8 Lessons begin Oct. 11 and run through Nov. 8 The classes are held on Mon. and Wed. mornings from 10 a.m. to noon; Mon. and Wed. evenings from 4:30 to 7 p.m.; Tues. and Thurs. from 9 to 11 a.m. Tues. and Thurs. from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and Sat. mornings from 9 a.m. to noon.
In other programs at the Y, Women's self defense is offered the first four Saturdays of Oct. and Nov. from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The fee is $25 with 1/2 off for each additional family member.
Boys and girls can learn basis gymnastics routines. in classes held Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. depending on age. Fees are $40 for facility members and $55 for program members.
Tae kwon do, for ages 9 through adult, is offered Mon., Wed. and Fri. from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Beginners meet Mon. and Wed. at Sorenson Gym.
Lotus, a Thai style martial arts class is offered Tues. and Thurs. from 7:45 to 9:15 p.m.
