City manager to be named this week

  NW News Staff
WOODINVILLE--The city council is expected to name a new city manager this Tuesday night. Mayor Bob Miller said the council will narrow the field of candidates from five to one that night during an executive session and then make the announcement.

The candidates include Mark Fitzgerald, city administrator for Burlington, Wisconsin, Ken Hartung, city administrator for Woodbury, Minnesota, Richard Leahy, city administrator for Mukilteo, Washington, Robert Stockwell, former city manager of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Dorothy Tryk, former city manager of Keizer, Oregon.

City department heads, the council and members of the community met with the candidates two weeks ago. Miller said the council had received "good input" from staff but was looking for more feedback from the community over the past weekend.
