Halloween in the country
NW News Staff
This year, The Herbfarm hosts Halloween Country fun at its farm in Fall City. Festivities run on weekends from Oct. 11 through the end of the month from 11-3 daily.
Herbfarm Halloween Celebration ($5) begins with scary stories told by master storyteller, Kathi Lightstone, in the Old Grey Barn. After 20 minutes of old-time story fun, participants travel through Enchanted Scarecrow Row to the Pumpkin Patch where each person chooses the perfect jack o'lantern and sips a cup of warming spiced cider. Ample photo opportunities await throughout the grounds.
Weekend activities offer additional, optional, family events at a small additional charge including pony rides with Party Ponies, pumpkin carving, face painting, snacks, and scarecrow making workshops. Weekend adventures require no reservations and are held from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Entry fee of $5 per person includes two tickets for extra activities. The Herb Shop and Herbal Theme Gardens are also open daily.
