The girls of Junior Girl Scout troop 1661 recently helped others to have a better holiday season by collecting food for the Maltby Food Bank. When food bank director Fran Walster approached troop leader Kelly Postain and the scouts, they were eager to help. The six girls, ages 10 to 13, collected food at the QFC in Woodinville, the Albertsons in Clearview and went door to door in their own neighborhoods. All in all they spent 40 hours on the community service project and collected 775 pounds of food and almost $300 in donations. The scouts are (back, l-r:)Cayla Paustain, Jessica Beattie, Sabrina Harriman. (front, l-r:) Kaycee Low, Katrina Sanders, Kaylee Low.
