Car theft: A rental 1997 Chevy Cavalier and purse therein were stolen from a parking lot at a high school in the 19800 block of 136th Ave. N.E. the evening of Dec. 8. An agent for a Renton car-rental company was transferring her belongings from the idling Chevy to her own car parked some distance away when the car was taken. A witness saw an unknown white male driving the vehicle out of the lot at a high rate of speed. The agent's purse was found nearby. Another car was also broken into in the same lot that night.
Drink and dash: Two white males in their 20s left a restaurant in the 17300 block of 140th Ave. N.E. without paying for eight double amarettos valued at $47.60. The suspects went to another restaurant and were picked up by a blue 1990s Chevy S-10.
Commercial burglary: Police believe that construction workers unlocked the roll-up doors of a new building in the 15500 block of Woodinville-Redmond Rd. sometime Dec. 7 and then stole $2,150 worth of lights and toolboxes later that night. An aerospace firm is moving into the building.
Liquor violation: A 16-year-old male student at a high school in the 19800 block of 136th Ave. N.E. was cited for minor in possession Dec. 5 after a parking lot security man saw a bottle of tequila in the back of the suspect's car and alerted police. The boy told police that while serving as a designated driver several weeks beforehand, he'd taken the bottle from friends after dropping their drunk asses off at their houses.
Residential Burglary: Unknown suspect(s) kicked in the French doors of a residence in the 17600 block of 155th Pl. N.E. during the day Dec. 4 and made off with two large end tables, a VCR, cash, a leather jacket and a wedding/engagement ring. Prints were taken.
