More than 1,000 local residents came down to the inaugural Woodinville Light Festival last weekend. There they enjoyed a visit from the Woodinville Lions Club Santa, and a massive light display put on by Northwest Christmas Lighting of Bellevue. The company used more than 17,000 lights in two animated light boards featuring a Santa delivering presents by balloon to a town and a dancing juggler. Each board used enough electricity to light a house. The green-bulbed Christmas tree alone had 2,000 lights. On Sunday night, a hot air balloon from Vagabond Balloons was inflated and lit periodically. City staffers Sandra Steffler and Lane Youngblood were in the holiday spirit.
