Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Announced
If available, emergency services personnel are best equipped to handle emergencies and should be the first choice. However, following a catastrophic disaster, community members may be on their own for a period of time because of the size of the area affected, lost communications and impassable roads. CERT training is designed to prepare residents to help themselves, their families and neighbors in the event of a catastrophic disaster.
The next class will begin Jan. 12, 1998 at 9 a.m. at the Fire District Headquarters in Woodinville. The remainder of the class schedule is Jan. 14 (Disaster Fire Suppression,) Jan. 21 and 26 (Disaster Medical Operations,) Jan. 28 (Light Search and Rescue,) Feb. 2 (Disaster Psychology and Team Organization,) Feb. 4 Review and Simulation.) To register or for more information, call Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District at (425) 483-0361.
