College provides job search resources

Connecting job seekers and employers is part of the mission of Lake Washington Technical College. That mission includes employers and local residents seeking employment as well as enrolled students. The college operates a One-Stop Career Center which accepts employers' job postings and lists positions on multiple computer databases. Staff also provide training for the Washington On-Line Reemployment Kiosk (WORK--available through the World Wide Web, http://www.wa.gov/work) a web site which allows employers to recruit from a database of resumes and locate applicants who have completed job training programs, certificates and degrees. The center includes staff from the Department of Employment Security, Vocational Rehabilitation, Associated Student Government at the college and several community-based organizations. Call (425) 793-8131 for hours and training appointments. Call (425) 739-8199 to fax announcements.
