Woodinville firefighter pleads not guilty
RENTON--George Moorhead, a 30-year-old Woodinville firefighter, plead not guilty to three counts of vehicular homicide last week. King County Prosecutors allege that Moorhead drove his pickup through a Renton intersection last June and struck a car carrying Tien Thai, Huu Hoang and Phu Huynh, recent immigrants from Vietnam. All three died on the scene. Charging papers say Moorhead had been drinking that night.
Moorhead's bail was reduced from $50,000 to $25,000 according to prosecutor's spokesman Dan Donohoe. Moorhead was temporarily free to work out bond arrangements last week, Donohoe said. A case settings hearing has been scheduled for April 20.
