Recently, seven Webelos Cub Scouts from Den 9, Pack 553, of Cottage Lake visited the Woodinville Firestone store. The boys were working on their Handyman advancement activity and needed to learn about the basic maintenance of an automobile. Store manager Russ Paris led the group on a tour of the facility stressing the components of vehicle maintenance and the importance of recycling. Then, Casey Ford addressed the technical aspects of vehicle care including proper tire removal, measuring tread depth, changing oil and filters and rotating tires. At the conclusion of the visit, Paris treated the boys to pizza and soft drinks and gave each a Firestone racing hat and a tire tool kit.
