by Woodinville Weekly staff
BOTHELL--A speeder's wild ride came to an end in a Bothell mobile home park early last Tuesday morning. According to Washington State Trooper Lt. Steve McCulley, a 23-year-old male driving an Eagle Talon, led up to six state troopers on a high speed chase that stretched from Seattle through Woodinville and back into Bothell before he was finally apprehended in the Hollyhills Mobile Home Park. The pursuit began somewhere near the 520 bridge around 1:20 a.m. when police attempted to stop the car for a high speed violation, McCulley said. From there it progressed up I-405 at speeds of up to 90 mph. The suspect exited onto SR 522 then to SR 9, doubled back past Woodinville High School and eventually came to a stop in Hollyhills where he fled on foot.
With the assistance of the Bothell Police and a King County Sheriff's Office canine, the suspect was caught and arrested around 2 a.m. The man was booked into King County jail on an outstanding reckless driving warrant. McCulley said no vehicles were damaged in the pursuit. "Luckily it came to a successful conclusion," he said.
