New principal is selected for Woodinville High School

Vicki Puckett, currently principal of Black River High School in the Renton School District, has been selected as the new principal for Woodinville High School. She will replace Jan Peterson, interim principal, who has chosen to return to her role of vice-principal.

Ms. Puckett is no stranger to the Northshore School District. In the late 1980's, she taught at Canyon Park Junior High, and developed a pilot program at all junior highs to meet the needs of at-risk severe behavior disability students. She also worked as Northshore's Extended Year Coordinator, facilitating the summer school program. Vicki and her husband Blake, principal of Woodmoor Elementary, live in Woodinville. They have two grown children.
