Woodinville gymnast wins at state tournament

McKenzie DeRaspe-Bolles

  McKenzie DeRaspe-Bolles has taken first place all-around among Level 7 competitive gymnasts, age 13 and up, in Washington State. Her all-around score was 36.80. In individual events, she was also awarded first place on the floor exercise with a score of 9.35, second place on the beam with a score of 8.6, fourth place on bars with a 9.6 and a 9.25 on the vault. The USGA-sanctioned state competition was held March 29. It brought together qualifying gymnasts in Washington State for the final competitive event of the gymnastics season.
  
   McKenzie resides in Woodinville and attends 7th grade at the Overlake School in Redmond. She is coached by Drew Grow, Kim Thomson and Jenny Powers at Gymnastics East in Bellevue, Washington.
