Plenty of activities for everyone at Saturday's Little League jamboree

The community is invited to attend a baseball jamboree for Sno-Valley North Little League on Saturday, Apr. 25, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Tolt Middle School fields in Carnation. The jamboree is a fundraising event for the little league teams. Team pictures will be also taken. The event will include a team parade around the field at noon. Teams line up at 11:45. Baseball teams will play short 45-minute fun exhibition games during the day.

Contests are open to all ages. The cost is $2.50 per 10 pitches from a pitching machine for the homerun hitting contest, and $1 for three throws for the speed pitching contest which will be measured by a radar gun. For the home run hitting contest, a gift certificate will be awarded to the winner of each division for the most home runs hit over the marking tape for that division.

Concessions and balloons will be available and lots of prizes have been generously donated for a "big raffle." Winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the day after the last games. Cost is $1 per ticket. Winners need not be present to win but need to put name and phone number on ticket. Small raffles will be held at each game for a 50/50 prize winner for those present. Winners must be present to receive their prizes. Used baseball pants and cleats will be on sale at a nominal fee or team members can make exchanges. For information or raffle tickets, call Jamie at 788-8929.
