Fishing opener more than just fishing

 "It's kind of an annual family thing," said one fisherman. He and his "crew" were in their boat on Lake Margaret at 5:30 a.m. and did well trolling flatfish and hot shots, catching 13 rainbows that ranged between 8-inches and 16-inches.

Resident wants to brighten, spruce up Kenmore

 Before Kenmore's interim City Council is sworn in, a long-time resident wants to spruce up the streets. Jan Allot, who has lived in Kenmore for almost 40 years, hopes to beautify the new city by hanging flower baskets along Bothell Way and putting out flags that would whip in the May breezes off Lake Washington.
