Amy Beth Zeutschel and Eric McDonald
Amy Beth Zeutschel and Eric William McDonald will be married on Sunday, May 17 in Seattle on the Emerald Star cruise ship. Amy is a 1989 Woodinville High School graduate, and Eric graduated from Woodinville High in 1990.
Amy attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in secondary mathematics education and continued to play volleyball earning several awards including Female Athlete of the Year in 1993. She taught math at Sanchez High School and was a volleyball coach in Guam for three years. Amy is the daughter of Rosemary and Ron Zeutschel of Woodinville.
Eric attended Bellevue Community College before joining the US Navy. During his four year naval career Eric received numerous honors and awards for his work in computer communications and for saving another sailor's life during a dive. His last station was Guam where he met Amy. They are both divers and while in Guam became engaged underwater on dive trip. Eric is now in the Naval Reserve, stationed at Bangor. Eric is the son of Penny and Bill McDonald of Woodinville.
Amy and Eric currently live in Kelso, WA where Amy is teaching math at Kelso High School and Eric is attending Lower Columbia Community College. The couple will move to Seattle following their marriage where Eric will continue his studies in oceanography at the University of Washington, and Amy will continue teaching secondary math.
