Kids come face-to-face with huge snake

Pictured here are (l-r:) Clayton Green, Alex Lek, Daniel Duffy, Michael McCoy, Rebekah Luplow, Chelsea Walker and Dylan Schuck. Behind them is Susie Woods, a P.A.C.E. parent.

Kindergarten students in the P.A.C.E. (Parents Active in Cooperative Education) program at Kokanee Elementary in Woodinville recently came face-to-face with a 70-pound albino python. Reptile expert Clayton Green brought the large snake to the school as part of a presentation on exotic reptiles.
The Northshore School District has P.A.C.E. programs at Lockwood, Woodmoor, Kokanee and Wellington Elementary Schools.
The program fosters close-knit sense of community between students, teachers and parents. In addition it works to consistently challenge and encourage all students regardless of their learning styles.
