Tea for Valley women
All Valley women are cordially invited to tea at Tolt Congregational United Church of Christ on Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. Enjoy a display of teapots, teacups and saucers; learn proper brewing techniques; enjoy homemade scones and jam. This is an event for women of all ages. Women are invited to dress up in tea-party fashions complete with lovely spring hats. For more information, call 333-4074.
A Cheer Clinic for grades K-5 will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 9-noon, sponsored by Fit Happens! Fitness Studio and Cedarcrest High School Cheerleaders. Come join the fun. Train, dance and cheer like the Cedarcrest Cheerleaders and participate in this year's Duvall Days Parade. A sack lunch and a Cheer T-shirt will be included. Cost is $10 per person. The Fall City Community Association will meet Friday, May 8, noon at the Colonial Inn. There will be a business meeting and a presentation by Nona Diediker regarding the Valley Recreation Association's planned public swimming pool.
A "Family Fun with Learning" workshop for parents and children grades 1-3 will be held at the Snoqualmie Library on Wednesday, May 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. There will be several reading and writing activities set up for families to practice and enjoy. To register, call Eastside Literacy at 425-558-2459.
Spring art show
The Sultan Arts Council wil hold its Spring Art Show on May 1, 2, 8 and 9 from 5-8 p.m. in the Loft above the Post Office at the corner of 4th and Main Streets in Sultan. The show will feature the photography of Dan and Sis Polin, Shannon Tipple-Leen, Conni Bess and Pearl Bowen. The public is invited to attend and meet the artists at a reception on Saturday evening, May 2, from 6-9 p.m. Call Kevin Pettelle at 360-793-0783 for further information.
Family math workshop
