38th Annual Duvall FireFighters Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, May 18, marks the date for the 38th Annual Duvall Volunteer Fire Fighters Pancake Breakfast. An all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, juice, milk and coffee will be served from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main fire station on the corner of 1st and Stella. Pancakes have taken artistic shapes such as bears, dinosaurs and Disney characters in the past. Admission is $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children, $5.00 for senior citizens.

The breakfast is sponsored by the Duvall Fire Fighters Association and has become the social event of the year for the Duvall area. Volunteers begin the night before preparing for the crowd and begin cooking in the early hours before the first customer. Last year more than 3,000 breakfasts were served by the volunteer Firefighters and their families.

The breakfast is the association's main fund raising event for the year. Proceeds benefit the association's social events, including an annual awards banquet, and various community projects, including support of a local cub scout troop and the local food bank.

Volunteers start cooking around 4 a.m. for the annual pancake breakfast.
