WHS student receives prestigious Wohelo Award
Krystal Lechner, a junior at Woodinville High School, has earned the Wohelo Award, the most prestigious award a Camp Fire Boys and Girls Club youth member can receive. The award is given following the completion of three major projects of personal importance. Lechner, a 12-year member of Camp Fire, is the youth representative to the Council Board of Directors, president of the East Branch Horizon Cabinet and represented the Council at the 1997 National Camp Fire Congress. She performs with the Columbia Girls' Choir and plays French horn in her school's Symphonic Band and with the Cascade Youth Symphony. She has worked to promote music education and appreciation in the community.
