New assistant principals announced

   Two new assistant principals are being added to the Northshore administrative team at the elementary level.
   Kristen Tammetta, from Edmonds, will divide her time between Maywood Elementary and East Ridge Elementary. Tammetta is no stranger to Northshore having spent part of her Danforth Program internship at Skyview Junior High. She has also completed a very successful long-term principal substitute assignment in Edmonds. Tammetta has taught at both primary and intermediate levels in both regular and multi-age classrooms. She has been involved in co-authoring Edmonds "Professional Teaching Standards" document as well as published Teacher Planner that assists teachers in planning for standards based instruction.
   Gary Keeler will divide his time between Fernwood and Moorlands elementaries. Keeler was also a Danforth participant who spent some of his internship in Northshore at East Ridge Elementary. He has been Science Coordinator in Monroe and has taught grades 3-8. He has also been a Peace Corp teacher in S.E. Arabia and has been a Wilderness Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service.
