Childbirth education

Preparing for the birth of a child can be overwhelming. "Anticipating Childbirth" will be offered in seven sessions, 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays from July 7 to August 18 at Children's Services of Sno-Valley in North Bend. Topics to be covered include fetal development, the emotional aspects of pregnancy, labor and delivery. Cost is $75 per couple. Some scholarships are available. Call 425-888-2777.

Summer camps at Children's Services

Wondering how to help your children stay busy and happy this summer? Children's Services of Sno-Valley is offering six weeks of summer camps for children, beginning July 6. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available for most camps. Sessions are divided into two age groups, one for 4 to 6-year-olds and another for 7 to 11-year-olds.
   The cost is $35 for the first child and $30 for siblings. A sliding fee scale is available. The schedule includes drama, music, outdoor skills, field trips, art, and Market Place, where children learn a business venture.

Vacation Bible School

The Duvall Church (on Main Street) invites all kids 3 1/2 years old through 5th grade to participate in Vacation Bible School. VBS runs from 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday, July 6-10. VBS is free. With the theme "Space Mission" the children will be challenged with week-long Bible Exploration, Blast-Off and Re-Entry programs. Call 788-1010.

'Homer & Hobo' in Monroe

Children's free program "Homer & Hobo" is scheduled for July 9, 10 a.m. at Sky River Park in Monroe, if raining, Frank Wagner Auditorium. Call 360-794-1078.

Classes at Friends of Youth

Summer classes will be available from Friends of Youth in Snoqualmie and Carnation. Classes include: Effective Parenting of Teens, Choices for Youth, Parenting of 6-12-year-olds, Drug Free Challenge and support groups. Call 425-844-3090 for information.
