DUVALL--King County traffic engineers say they have added a light at a bridge on Cherry Valley Road to help direct traffic while the bridge is undergoing seismic retrofitting and resurfacing.
"In order to work on the bridge, one lane has to be closed at a time," said Linda Mott, King County signal design engineer.
"For 24-hour traffic control, we put in a signal," she said. "As soon as the work is done we will remove the light."
Mott said the signal will be turned on the end of this week or beginning of next week. Work is expected to take one to two months to complete.
