Fourth of July proves communities can succeed
The success of 4th of July activities throughout the Northshore and Lower Snoqualmie areas is evidence that we can make our communities work.
The cooperation between the jurisdictions, businesses, volunteer committees, governments, residents and social service organizations created the parades, fireworks, the Heritage Festival and all the other programs that were so successful.
We know how to have fun. Now we need to translate the energy and cooperation we all saw on the Fourth of July into addressing other issues that concern us as residents, businesspeople and government officials.
It is easy to become involved. It is as simple as a phone call, attending a meeting or just saying, "I'll do it."
