Police are searching for the driver of a red Chevy Camaro who sped away after causing an accident on Woodinville-Duvall Road June 29.
Police say that at about 4:45 p.m., the Camaro, driven by a white female with "big blonde hair," was traveling eastbound in the inside lane of Woodinville-Duvall Road at a high rate of speed when she ducked into the outside lane to avoid a stopped vehicle turning left onto 152nd Ave. N.E.
The suspect's car hit a 1987 Ford van in the side, forcing it off the roadway and into a ditch where it rolled on its side. The 24-year-old Woodinville male driving the van was treated by Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District crews at the scene for minor injuries.
Police say the Camaro is a mid-1980s model, red with black trim, tinted windows and has a rear spoiler. The passenger side of the car is probably damaged.
The city of Woodinville will widen the street at 152nd for a protected left-turn pocket for access in and out of the neighborhood.
