   On June 16, six new recruits were hired as full-time firefighters to serve with the professional team of Woodinville Fire & Life Safety men and women.
  
   Scott Anderson, Gary Arnold, Ian D'Ambrosia, Todd Minor, Matt Plush, and Matt Roodzant joined the department and were all assigned as line firefighters.
   Scott Anderson formerly served with Kitsap Fire District #15. A Bremerton native, Anderson is married and lives in Seattle.
  
   Gary Arnold formerly served with the Graham Fire & Rescue team as a firefighter/EMT. He is married with two sons.
  
   Ian D'Ambrosia has a degree in Fire Command and Administration from Edmonds Community College and has worked with the Woodinville district as a volunteer for six years.
  
   Todd Miner completed the ATA Fire Protection Technician program and served with the Longview Fire Department.
  
   Matt Plush served with the US Navy on the USS Nimitz. He then served as a firefighter with the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island.
  
   Matt Roodzant is working on his Fire Command degree at Edmonds Community College. He spent six years as a volunteer with the Snohomish Fire Department.
  
   One new recruit was hired in January of 1998. Jeff Smith has served with King County Fire District #10 since 1996. He is married with two children and resides in Renton.
  
   The district welcomes these new members.
