Great camping and hiking at King County's Tolt MacDonald Park

   Looking for a great place to camp that's also close to home? Try King County's Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation. The park has dozens of campsites near the Snoqualmie River, and individual spots are only $10 per night.
  
   Located near downtown Carnation, Tolt MacDonald Park features 38 individual camping sites and two group sites. Individual sites are available on a first come, first serve basis through a convenient self-registration system and payment drop-box. The two group sites are reservable, but walk-ups are wecome if the sites aren't already booked.
  
   The small group site, which accommodates up to 75, is $65 per night. The maximum stay at individual and group sites is seven days. Camping is available at Tolt MacDonald Park March 21 through October 31.
  
   The park covers more than 450 acres on both sides of the Snoqualmie River. The sections on the east and west sides are linked by a 500-foot suspension bridge. The park is in Carnation at 31020 NE 40th St., off SR-203. To reserve a group camp site or picnic shelter, call the King County Department of Parks and Recreation at 206-296-2966.
