Woodinville Senior Program presents foot care advice

On July 24, the Woodinville Senior Program, a service of the Northshore's Senior Center, will conduct a free presentation on foot care at 10:30 a.m. at the Woodinville Library on Avondale Road as its first activity in the Woodinville area.
The featured speaker at the presentation will be Dr. Roderick A. Moore, DPM, a Woodinville physician. He is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine and is on the staff at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland. He has been involved in the training of podiatric residents in the Seattle area. He will cover topics such as nail thickening, fungus problems, ingrown toenails, bone fractures, bone spurs, warts, bunions, hammer toes, foot sores, persistent foot pain and ankle sprains.
The popularity of the Northshore Senior Center has dictated the need to extend services such as classes, clinics, trips, sports, gardening, art, dancing, transportation, card games and counseling to seniors in neighboring communities which do not already have a senior service center. The Woodinville Senior Program hopes to provide many of these services to the Woodinville community in the next few years.
