Absent Woodinville official temping in Kenmore

   by Woodinville Weekly staff

Carter Hawley was hired as a temporary, part-time project manager in the City of Kenmore last Thursday.

Hawley is also Woodinville's assistant city manager but took a four-month leave of absence and vacation after Roy Rainey, former city manager, was forced out by the City Council in late June.

In Kenmore, she'll be bringing a second new city into the world. Hawley said her duties will include completing contract negotiations with King County, as well as setting up city departments. She was one of the first staffers to be hired after Woodinville incorporated.

She said her contract in Kenmore expires September 30 and added she currently plans on returning to Woodinville November 2.
